Default Mouse problem in Puzzle Quest PC

I ran Puzzle Quest on my laptop (Acer Travelmate 2403) and when entering the main menu I found my mouse not under my control. When I tried to drag my mouse, actually it went "everywhere" but where I wanted it to go. When I kept dragging towards one button like "Quit", it acted stubbornly like "it was not willing to move", and finally moved closer to that button.
I tried uninstalling the Logitech Mouseware and tried using touchpad instead of mouse, but the problem stayed still. I'll be glad if someone can help me solve this problem.

TravisChen,

There is no real fix for this at the moment. Some laptops have this problem and others don't. Unfortunately you are in the unlucky camp.

Some players have reported that if they hold down the right mouse button they can move the mouse normally. Then you have to release the button when you want to click. Not ideal, but it does work.

There is an upcoming patch that may fix this problem.

Thank you. I tried holding down the right button, and after several minutes in game, the problem is gone! Then I can release the button and play normally.

ps: I have some "how to... (seige towns, beat Lord Bane)" questions and I posted it in the General Discussion forum. Somehow I found this game really hard.
