Ok, so, I've got a number of problems/questions here I wanted to get out all at once.
Is there a way to make the game run on a 24-bit computer, or do people know of a way to set up or download software that emulates the extra 8 bits of alpha channel on the hard drive somehow? I know the game claims it requires 32 bit color, but since it's really the same number of colors as 24 bit with just an extra alpha channel for transparencies, I really want there to be some way to simulate those last 8 bits, or tell it to ignore them, or just display the stuff poorly; as it is right now, I can only play on the computers in the campus library or one specific computer lab.
And: I'm running the game off a flash drive on various computers. I don't have any trouble running the game, but it always saves the hero files to the hard drive of the computer I'm on, rather than the flash drive. Is there any way to tell the game to always save to and look for saved files on the flash drive? Additionally, some of the computers I want to run the game on from the flash drive don't allow installations or changes to the hard drives, so OpenAL can't install the .dll file. Is there a way I can tell the game to use the .dll file from the flash drive if I put it on there?
