Vista x64
4GB ram
Nvidia 8800 GTS 320MB
Driver version 163.75

Plays Bioshock and Orange Box with the utmost stability. I love Puzzle Quest but you can imagine how funny it was that PQ-PC triggered a BSOD when exiting the game. Apparently, its the video driver that crashes.

A good excuse to keep playing the game and not exit. :-)

Okay....

I updated to Nvidia's hot off the press 169.02 drivers. Now the game triggers a BSOD that is video driver related when not exiting the game. Now I got it from clicking a menu option. This is running 1.02.

I also ran the game in XPSP2 compat mode this time.

I have having the same kind of issue when exiting Puzzle quest.

Blue screen of death every time. I am running the drivers just prior to the ones your running. Your setup is almost exactly the same as mine.

I am wondering if it's the 8800 video card they are having problems with. I can tell you I didnt have this issue with the demo.

The problem is the Creative sound drivers. This has been an issue it looks like with many games. The New Patch that came out for Vista 64 Bit on 11-5-07 has resolved this issue for me and I no long have the BSOD when I exit the software. My guess is you are using creative drivers which many people were complaining about and as of yesterday seems to be resolved.

Go download them and that should fix the issue
