No "laser" special effects.

In every published screen shot of the game, there's lasers that come out of gems or the ships when damage and effects are done. Not so on my laptop.

There's a ripple effect whenever damage is done and that's it.

Not that I'm complaining, because I think there's almost too much special effects as it is, but I wondered if it's me.

What kind of video chip does your laptop have? Maybe it doesn't support the shader effects that the game is trying to use.
