Cant Level Up

When I defend and get a total victory I'm suppose to level up. I had two total victories and im still level 0. What is going on?

I just leveled up once and went to my Warlord. Then it showed me as level 1. But after I played another game, I went back to my warlord and im at level 0

I think it has to do with being in too much of a hurry. If I click off the page before it finishes loading, it may not send the info to raise my level.

I'm also having trouble with that box in the upper right hand corner of my screen, it doesn't show up.

That's one of the few things I've instantly noticed as a new player as well, but I followed the link and I assume that your avatar should be shown there. If you have none then a picture "no_avatar.gif" should appear instead, but the link to that picture seems to be broken. Something for the bottom places of the TO-DO list I'd say... :-)
